Daily Announcements for 2/27/2015

Celebrate National School Breakfast Week – Students, come in for breakfast and put your name in for a drawing to win a gift certificate.  The winners will be drawn on Friday, March 6th.

The semi-formal dance has been rescheduled for Friday, March 13th, from 7-10 pm. 

The Berkshire Cal Ripken Youth Baseball League and the LYA Girls Softball will hold sign-ups for all those players residing in Lee, Tyringham, Becket, Washington, and Otis, along with any student who attends the Lee School System.  Sign-ups will be tonight (2/27) from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and tomorrow (2/28) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the LYA.  You can also sign up online for Girls’ Softball  at www.leeyouthassociation.com.  A $45 registration fee will be required along with a copy of your birth certificate (for Cal Ripken) at the time of registration. Everyone is required to register – even if you were assigned to a team last year.

The LYA will be having an open gym on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  The open gym is open to all LMHS students and will be from 3:30 to 5:30. 

Seniors - BCC is sponsoring an Open House on tomorrow (2/28) for the Business and Engineering Departments and STEM Starter Academy.  Please see signs posted in the senior hallway or ask Ms. Patel or Mr. Korte for more information.

There will be a Driver’s Ed class beginning next Monday, March 2 through Tuesday, March 17th from 2:45-5:15 p.m.  Any student who will be 15 years and 9 months old by Monday, March 2 can sign up for the class in the main office.

WILDCAT LANYARDS are available!!!  Please see any junior to purchase your own!  The cost is $5.00 each.

The LYA Homework Help program will be in room library.  Mon.-Thurs. at 2:30 p.m.

Student planners are now available free on a first come, first serve basis for high school students.  Please stop by Mr. Brighenti's office if you are interested getting one.

Attention all 18 year olds: Voter registration cards will no longer be available in the guidance office. You must register in person at your town clerk's office.

Any male student who is 18 is required by law to register for selective service within 30 days of turning 18 and you must register to be eligible for financial aid.

Tonight on American Idol Katherine Winston is competing as one of the top 12 females.  Please enjoy the show and then call in as many times as you can to vote for Katherine!   This is America, you can vote up to 20 times.  Let's support our former Lee Idol winner.

Lee Mock Trial beat St. Joe Mock Trial yesterday with a score of 78 to 69!  A special thanks to Cayce Williams who volunteered to stand in for a missing member of the St. Joe Mock Trial.

The Winter Concert is tonight at 7:00 p.m. 
in the Z and admission is free.
We will be performing a wide variety of choral and instrumental music, including a piece featuring the high school percussionists directed by junior JT Sorrentino.
