Daily Announcements for 9/11/2015

Porchlight VNA is looking for an after-school intern to do clerical work.  This intern is unpaid.  For more information call the VNA.

Monday Sept. 14 the junior class will hold elections.  Please read candidate essays posted outside Mr. Hall's room.  Please stop in to Mr. Hall's room before school, or in between classes to vote.  Voting closes at 2:29 pm.

There will be a meeting after school Thursday the 17th in Mr. Fillio's room for anyone interested in being part of the Communications club or Lee Live.

Are you interested in traveling to the Caribbean during Spring Break? If so, see Señorita Barbaglia for more details! There are only a few spots left! 

There will be a Helping Hands meeting after school in Mrs. Wade's room on Tues, Sept. 15.  If you have a conflict, but still want to participate, please see Mrs. Wade.

Any sophomore who would like to run for class office must see Mrs. Mary Verdi by Monday afternoon. Elections will be at the end of next week so we can get activities started.

The following college reps will visit the high school next week.  Any student who wants to meet with the rep can sign up on Naviance: Monday (9/14) Southern Vermont College and Western New England University; Tuesday (9/15), Saint Anselm College, and Friday (9/18), UMass Amherst.

All fall athletes need to have their user fees or their user fee sheet in to Mr. Reilly before today (9/11).

2016 Yearbook has new pricing and is on sale this week during lunch. The new low price of $50 is good for a limited time so get your deposit in this week!  A $10 dollar deposit will enter your name into the drawing for a $20 dollar gift card from Dunkin Donuts.

Upcoming art contests and gallery submissions are now posted outside the art room and will be update throughout the school year – all students are invited to participate! If you are interested or want more information please see Mrs. Clark in the art room. 

Mr. Hall is looking for some National Honor Society students who are interested in doing some community service during Founder's Day. Anyone interested please see Mr. Hall this week.

Signups for Decathlon, Quiz Team, and Mock Trial are posted in the office.

There will be a Driver’s Ed class beginning next Monday, Sept. 14 Tues., Sept. 29 from 2:45-5:15 Monday-Friday.  You must be 15 years and 9 months old on or by September 14 to sign up for the class. You can sign up for the class in the main office.

High school students who would like to use one of the student planners can pick one up in the principal’s office.

Daily Announcements for 9/4/2015

Class officers for the senior class of 2016 are as follows: President - Samantha Goyette, Vice President - Sierra Palardy, Treasurer - Emily Donovan, Secretary - Karen Hernandez.  There will an officers meeting Wednesday Sept. 09 at lunch in Ms. Patel's room.

The results of the SC election are as follows: Freshmen Reps are: Jillian Artioli, Emily Hadsell, Stone Murphy, Homer Winston; Sophomore Reps are: Shane Cloutier, Alyssa Heath, Skylar Pietras, Khali Zabian; Junior Reps are: Abigail Brown, Madison DeSantis, Kendra Williams, Emilia Zukowski; Senior Reps are: Rachel Adams, Amy Goss, Sammy Goyette, Megan Scapin.  Our first meeting will be next Thursdsay after school in Mr. Trabka's room.  Please speak to Mr Trabka if you have a conflict.

A representative from New England Institute of Technology will be in the guidance office at 10:30 this morning.  Any student interested in meeting with the rep can report to the guidance office at 10:30 with your teacher’s permission.

Anyone running for junior class officers please submit your typed essay to Mrs. Curry or Mr. Hall by tomorrow (9/4).

Prom committee sign-up sheet is posted outside Mrs. Curry's room for any junior wishing to sign up.

Voting for senior class officers will be today (9/3) at lunch.

The parent/athlete fall meeting is tonight (9/3) at 6:00 in the auditorium, all athletes and their parents need to attend this meeting.

Elections for Student Council Representatives will be held during lunch today (9/3).  Sign up with Mr.Trabka if you are interested in representing your class.
