On Wednesday,
October 2nd, Berkshire Community College will be hosting a college fair. If
enough students are interested in attending, we will take a bus that will leave
LMHS at 8:55am and return to school around 10:45 a.m. All
juniors and seniors who are in good academic standing and applying to college
are welcome to sign up. Seniors will
have priority if space on the bus becomes an issue. There is a $5 bus fee
and all permission slips and money MUST be turned in to the main office
by Friday, September 27th. No late sign-ups will be accepted.
There will be a Quiz
Team Practice after school on Tuesday (10/1) in Mrs. Wade's Room (C112).
There will be an
Academic Decathlon Meeting after school on Wednesday (10/2) in Mrs. Wade's Room
(C112).
On October 16th, all juniors can sign up
to take the PSAT at school for free, and sophomores can take the PSAT
for $20. The PSAT is a practice version of the SAT. It's strongly
recommended that students planning to apply to 4-year colleges and
universities sign up to take the PSAT. Sign-ups are in the main office, and the
deadline is October 4th.
Signups for Academic Decathlon, Quiz
Team, and Mock Trial are in the front office. Any student interested should
sign up. Any questions, please see Mrs. Wade or Mr. Hall.
The following college reps will be
at the school this week, any junior or senior who would like to meet with the
reps can sign up on Naviance: today (9/27)
Columbia College (1 p.m.).
All student portal VISION accounts
have been reset for the new year. Pick up your temporary password in the
main office!
All
18-year-old male students must register for the Selective Service which you can
do at www.sss.gov.
