Daily Announcements for 5/29/2015

All PE classes are reminded to clean out your PE lockers.  Please wear shorts and sneakers to PE classes.

We will be having after school art club on both Wednesday the 3rd and Thursday the 4th next week from 2:30 - 3:30.

Weather permitting, the building of a pavilion at the Lee Athletic Field will begin this weekend.  Anyone who has some carpentry/building skills and is willing and available this Saturday and/or Sunday to help with the building of the pavilion, it would be greatly appreciated.  Perhaps some of the young men who participate in the class Bill Swindlehurst’s Trade Secrets class last year might be available.  Work is going to start around 8:30 a.m.  (Having your own tools would help!)

The lost and found items have been placed in the main hall.

An elderly couple in East Otis are looking to hire a student to help them pack up the cottage that they just sold.  They will negotiate fair pay.  Please see poster in the guidance office for information.

Biology MCAS tests are next Tuesday and Wednesday!  If you're in Biology now, or need to retake the test, please check the roster in the Main Office window to find your testing location...

All National Honor Society Service Points are due to Mr. Hall on Monday, June 1st! Students must have 15 points in order to remain on National Honor Society. Any questions please see Mr. Hall.

If you were unable to attend the receptions of the Underclassmen and Senior Art Shows they will be on display at the Lee Library and The Good Purpose Gallery through the end of the month!

Juniors interested in taking a Virtual High School class in the fall must sign up with Mr. Korte ASAP.  Sign -ups will be on a first come-first serve basis, and seats will be made available to underclassmen after May 29th.

Any student planning on participating in an outside of school internship next year needs to set up a meeting with Mr. Korte by June, 1st.

Light refreshments will be served!  After school art club is canceled due to the senior art show - will resume on Wednesday, May 27th and continue for the remainder of the year!

All students going on Wednesday’s (5/6) Lola Jaffee trip are reminded that you must meet briefly after school Monday (5/4) in Mrs. Verdi’s room.

A reminder to the Special Olympic volunteers to bring your own lunch next Wednesday (5/6).

Reminder to seniors: The following scholarship applications are due to the guidance office by today (May 1) Dorothy Finnegan Scholarship, Lee Central Volunteer Fire Company Scholarship, Vanessa Stone Memorial Scholarship, and the Scholarship in Memory of Marty Barenski.

Biology MCAS Review Sessions will be every Tuesday and Thursday May 5-28 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in room C105.  See Mrs. Curry for details.

Any underclassmen that would like to display art work in the underclassmen art show please bring work in and see Mrs. Clark in the art room ASAP!

Anyone interested in umpiring some youth baseball games this spring, please see Ms. Ely today, Friday, May 1st.

There will be a Driver’s Ed class beginning next Monday, May 4 through Tuesday, May 19th from 2:45-5:15 p.m.  Any student who will be 15 years and 9 months old by Monday, May 4 can sign up for the class in the main office.

The 2015 Student Trooper Program, an intensive one week, residential learning experience in July for young adults, ages 15 thru 17.  If you are interested in the program please see Mr. Korte for an application.
