Daily Announcements for 10/31/2018


Winters sports sign-ups are on Coach Thomson’s door in the Athletic Director’s office.

There is a Lee Kiwanis “Stuff the Trailer” box for a food collection for the Food Pantry in the main hall.  The box will be at the school until Friday, Nov. 9th.  Please bring canned goods and diapers to donate.  The “Stuff the Trailer” truck will be at Lee Municipal Parking Lot on Sat., Nov. 10 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

There will be a Driver’s Ed class beginning tomorrow (11/1) thru Mon., Nov. 19 from 2:45-5:45.  You must be 15 years and 9 months old by tomorrow (11/1).  You can sign up in the main office.

The following college reps will visit the high school this week.  Any junior or senior who wants to meet with the rep can sign up on Naviance or in the office with Ms. Mottarella:  Friday (11/2) Anna Maria College at 11 a.m.

There will be a GSA meeting after school tomorrow (11/1) in Mrs. Verdi's room (C112).

Stop by the LMHS Library after school next week (11/3-7) to knit hats for babies!  There will be an instructor there to help you if you don't know how!  House points awarded!

Any last-minute pumpkins for the Pumpkin Contest, have them to Mrs. Wade this morning (10/31)!  Voting during lunches!

School picture retakes are today (10/10).  If you are having your pictures retaken please bring your picture packets with you to the camera.  Students and staff who did not have your pictures taken in September need to have your pictures taken for your school IDs.  Picture forms are available in the office or online.

All students who are 18 years old can register to vote.  The deadline is Wednesday, October 17.  You can register with the Town Clerk at your local Town Hall or you can register online at

Daily Announcements for 10/2/2018


Did you need more time on your summer reading assessment?  Were you absent on those days and didn't take it?  Makeups and extra time must be completed by this Friday (10/5).  Go to the principal's office for more information.

School picture retakes are next Wednesday (10/10).  If you are having your pictures retaken please bring your picture packets with you to the camera.  Students and staff who did not have your pictures taken in September need to have your pictures taken for your school IDs.  Picture forms are available in the office or online.

Seniors, Lifetouch will be back on October 9th and 10th for retakes or missed senior formal pictures.  Please check your email for information or see Mrs. Armstrong. This will be the last opportunity for yearbook formal photos.

FINAL CALL for both individual house logo's AND overall four house crest design ideas.  Please submit all artwork to the art room by Tuesday October 9th.  See Ms. Clark for any questions or materials

There will be an interest meeting for the trip to Costa Rica during April break 2020 on Thursday (10/4) at 6 pm in the LMHS Library. Any current 8th-11th grade student interested in traveling needs to attend this meeting along with a parent or guardian. See Sra. Antil with any questions. 

The French club meeting originally scheduled for today will be postponed to Tuesday, October 16th at 2:30. Club members will present and discuss favorite French artists. Please see Madame Goff for your assignment. Club members are welcome to bring snacks. See Madame Goff with any questions. 

The following college reps will visit the high school this week.  Any junior or senior who wants to meet with the rep can sign up on Naviance or in the office with Ms. Mottarella:  tomorrow (10/3) University of New England at 11:30 a.m. and Landmark College at 12:45 p.m.; Thurs. (10/4) Dean College at 1:30 p.m.; and Fri. (10/5) Utica College at 8:30 a.m.

On Wednesday, October 10th, the PSAT will be offered at LMHS. Juniors can take the PSAT for free in school on that day. Sophomores can sign up for a $20 fee. Sign-ups are in the main office, and the deadline to sign-up on Friday, October 5th.
