Daily Announcements for 10/31/2019


There will be a meeting for all students interested in Mock Trial in Mr. Hall's room immediately after school on Friday (11/1).

You are invited to an art reception this Friday, November 1st, from 5:00-8:00 pm at Steven Valenti's Clothing for Men on North Street in Pittsfield. The Portfolio class will have artwork on display and snacks and refreshments to share.

There will be a meeting Wednesday, Nov 6 after school in Mr. Fillio's room C126 for anyone interested in being on the bowling team.

Students and staff who are interested in a Student/Staff Dodgeball game during the pep rally on Friday, October 18 please see Mrs. Briggs or Mrs Wilcox to sign up.

Picture retake day is next Wednesday, October 9.  Students who want their pictures retaken should bring their packet with them to the cameras.  Students that wanted to order picture packets and did not on the first day should also bring their forms with them to the camera.  Any student or staff who did not get their pictures taken for ID’s should get them taken on that day.  Picture forms are available in the main office.

The senior class will be holding a car wash at Lee Bank Sunday, October 6th from 10 - 2.  Instead of a flat fee we are accepting donations.  Come and support the senior class.

Seniors: If you have not signed up to work the car wash please see Mrs. Briggs or Mrs. Wilcox.  We need volunteers from 12-2 on Sunday October 6th.  If we do not have enough volunteers, we will only be able to run the carwash from 10 - 12 provided everyone who signed up shows up.

The senior class will be holding a car wash at Lee Bank Sunday, October 6th from 10 - 2.  Instead of a flat fee we are accepting donations.  Come and support the senior class.

Seniors: If you have not signed up to work the car wash please see Mrs. Briggs or Mrs. Wilcox.  We need volunteers from 12-2 on Sunday October 6th.  If we do not have enough volunteers, we will only be able to run the carwash from 10 - 12 provided everyone who signed up shows up.

If you still need to take your summer reading assessment (or need to finish it), please make an appointment in the principal's office.

On October 16th, all juniors can sign up to take the PSAT at school for free, and sophomores can take the PSAT for $20. The PSAT is a practice version of the SAT. It's strongly recommended that students planning to apply to 4-year colleges and universities sign up to take the PSAT. Sign-ups are in the main office, and the deadline is this Friday (10/4).   

Signups for Academic Decathlon, Quiz Team, and Mock Trial are in the front office. Any student interested should sign up. Any questions, please see Mrs. Wade or Mr. Hall.

The following college reps will be at the school this week, any junior or senior who would like to meet with the reps can sign up on Naviance:  today (10/3) Maine College of Art (9 a.m.), University of New Haven (10 a.m.), Siena College (1 p.m.); Fri. (10/4) Utica College (9 a.m.)
All student portal VISION accounts have been reset for the new year.  Pick up your temporary password in the main office!
All 18-year-old male students must register for the Selective Service which you can do at www.sss.gov.
