Daily Announcements for 3/31/2015

A reminder to Seniors:  SENIOR DUES ARE DUE TOMORROW, APRIL 1st.  The deadline for many of the scholarships is today (3/31).  Please pay close attention to this deadline and if the scholarship needs to be mailed or turned in to Ms. Mottarella in the main office.

If you haven't already signed up to give blood tomorrow (4/1), please do so during both high school lunches.  Our goal was 50 appointments and we have 43 people signed up!  Please see Mrs. Wade with any questions.

There will be a mandatory Caribbean Travelers meeting this Thursday, April 2nd at 2:30pm in Señorita Barbaglia´s classroom (D116). Please bring all money and order forms from our Living Color Plant and Flower Fundraiser. All travelers are expected to attend this meeting.

The LYA Basketball Shoot-A-Thon Prize Awards Night will be tonight (3/23) at 6 p.m. in the “Z”.

A REMINDER TO SENIORS THAT THE KIWANIS CLUB OF LEE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS MUST BE TURNED IN TO THE GUIDANCE OFFICE BY FIRST PERIOD MONDAY MORNING (3/16).

The semi-formal dance is tonight (3/13) from 7-10 pm. 

The LYA Basketball Shoot-A-Thon Prize Awards Night has been changed to Monday, March 23 at 6 p.m. in the “Z”.

Any senior who has not yet gone on a Lola Jaffee trip and would like to go in May must sign up with Mrs. Verdi by Friday; after that, juniors will be offered the seats.

Girls’ Basketball - There will be a brief meeting to collect uniforms after school on Thursday, March 12th at 2:30 in the gym.

The class of 2017 is raffling off two spring activity baskets.  One for girls and one for boys.  Each contains a Nike back pack with a $25 Nike gift card and assorted items.  Raffle tickets can be purchased from any member of the sophomore class and are $2 each or 6 for $10.  They will be sold during all lunches.  The drawing is Friday, March 20th.

Attention all 18 year olds: Voter registration cards will no longer be available in the guidance office. You must register in person at your town clerk's office.

Any male student who is 18 is required by law to register for selective service within 30 days of turning 18 and you must register to be eligible for financial aid.

The spring sports parents meeting will be held this Thursday at 6:30pm in the auditorium.

The girls lacrosse team will meet on Wednesday at 2:30 in the cafeteria.

Team meetings today:  Girls Tennis will meet at 2:30 in the library, Girls Lacrosse will meet in the cafeteria at 3, softball will meet in Mrs. Roosa’s at 2:30 and any girls planning on playing soccer will meet in the gym at 3.

There will be a Quiz Team match this Wednesday.  The bus leaves at 5:40.  Please let Mr. Hall or Mrs. Wade know if you are planning on attending by tomorrow.

The LYA will be having an open gym on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  The open gym is open to all LMHS students and will be from 3:30 to 5:30. 

There will be a Driver’s Ed class beginning next Monday, March 2 through Tuesday, March 17th from 2:45-5:15 p.m.  Any student who will be 15 years and 9 months old by Monday, March 2 can sign up for the class in the main office.

Attention all 18 year olds: Voter registration cards will no longer be available in the guidance office. You must register in person at your town clerk's office.

Any male student who is 18 is required by law to register for selective service within 30 days of turning 18 and you must register to be eligible for financial aid.

Daily Announcements for 3/2/2015

Celebrate National School Breakfast Week – Students, come in for breakfast and put your name in for a drawing to win a $15 Itunes gift certificate or one of 2 $5 Knead a Bagel gift certificate.  The winners will be drawn on Friday, March 6th.

Any senior, who has not yet gone on a Lola Jaffee trip and would like to be considered for one in May, should see Mrs. Verdi as soon as possible to apply.

The semi-formal dance has been rescheduled for Friday, March 13th, from 7-10 pm. 

The third $25 Deposit for yearbook orders are due, Drawing for the Dunkin Doughnut Gift Card will be Thursday.  Last chance to order your yearbook and Baby Ads.

The LYA will be having an open gym on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  The open gym is open to all LMHS students and will be from 3:30 to 5:30. 

There will be a Driver’s Ed class beginning next Monday, March 2 through Tuesday, March 17th from 2:45-5:15 p.m.  Any student who will be 15 years and 9 months old by Monday, March 2 can sign up for the class in the main office.
