Daily Announcements for 10/18/2016

Sophomores, Yankee Candle fundraiser money and order forms are due today (10/18)! Please turn in your packets to Sra. Antil or Mrs. Naventi. 

There will be a sophomore class officer meeting tomorrow, October 19th, at 2:30pm in SeƱora's classroom. 

All current NHS members there will be a quick meeting after school on Thursday (10/20) in Mr. Hall's room.  All NHS candidates, please stop by and see Mr. Hall before the end of the day on Wednesday (10/19).

Any student who was absent yesterday, and did not get a free water bottle, please see Mrs. Carroll today (10/18).

Sophomores will have a class meeting with Mr. Dignard from Jostens to receive information about class rings today (10/18) after attendance, 1st period of the day (period 2).   Ring orders will take place during lunches on Tuesday, October 25th in the cafeteria.

Reminder to all 8th, 10th, and 11th grades: PSATs are tomorrow morning (10/19).  Beginning today, you can check postings in the lobby for room locations.

The Tastefully Simple fund raiser, for the benefit of the LMHS Functional Life Skills program, will be held throughout the remainder of October and first week of November.  All orders will be placed on November 4th, assuring delivery in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. The catalogs and order forms will be in the teachers’ room.  All profits are donated directly to the Life Skills Program. Thanks so much for your continued support, it is so appreciated! 

The Yearbook Staff would like to announce that Friday, the 21st, is the deadline for the package including a $50 yearbook and an optional $5 addition that includes a name etching and 4 free icons. Please see Mrs. Armstrong or a member of the yearbook staff in order to put down a deposit and receive this special deal.

There will be a Prom Committee meeting Thursday (10/20) after school in Ms. Ely’s room (D123).

Any senior who would like to be an alternate for the November Lola Jaffee trip should see Mrs. Verdi ASAP. If you don't get called to go, you are guaranteed a spot on the spring trip.

Middle school students can participate in the Lions International Peace Poster.  Students must by ages 11-13 by November 15.  Posters would be due by November 14th.  See Mr. Boule for more information.

The following college reps will visit the high school this week.  Any junior or senior who wants to meet with the rep can sign up on Naviance or in the office with Ms. Mottarella: today (10/18) Albany College of Pharmacy at 9 a.m.; Wednesday (10/19) Elms College at 9:30 a.m. and Mildred Elley at 11 a.m.; Thursday (10/20) Southern Vermont College at 12:30 p.m.
